George E. Stewart, age 88, resident of Hickory Hills formally of Bridgeport, devoted husband and partner of 65 years to Genevieve “Jen” (nee Fry); beloved son to the late Frank and Bessie Stewart of West Virginia; caring dad and friend of George C. “Rusty”, Scott (Laurel), Dave (Annette) Stewart and Tammy (Chris) Dragel; fun loving PaPa of Jade (Pietro) Pellerito, Scotty, Luke, David and Matthew Stewart, Kori and Chris Dragel; dearest brother of Charles Stewart, the late Garrett, James, John, Donald and Ronald Steward, Bernice Weis and Vina Legg; dear brother-in-law of Tom (Joanne) Frey, the late Jeanette Dunn and Chuck ((Lucille) Fry; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; best friend and fishing partner of Joe Krzystof. George’s love of fishing and outdoors was very evident to those around him. He was a member and past treasurer of the Hickory Hills Sertoma Club and member of St. Patricia Circle of Friends. He will be missed by his family and friends as he enters the Kingdom of God to fish the great lakes of Heaven with the greatest fisherman of all.
