James V. DeAmbrose was 76 years old when he passed peacefully on Feb. 20th 2023. He is survived by his devoted wife Luellen, two sons Scott and Craig (Kimberly), sister Sylvia and several nieces and nephews. In life, James, or Jimmy D. as he was known to his friends, worked 35 years for the phone company where he kept the dial tone flowing throughout the south suburbs. Aside from being a devoted husband and father, James gave back to the community by working with the Telephone Pioneers of America serving on the board, as well as president of the Indian Trails Council. He also served as a board member and president for the Posen Park District for many years. James was also a Coach for Little League and St. Stan’s basketball in Posen, IL. His outgoing personality and boisterous laugh will be missed.
