Obituary for James S. Lyke
James Sheridan Lyke, 75, of Tinley Park, IL passed away on November 1, 2022
Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, Jim Lyke, a printing executive, lived in Tinley Park from 1977 to 2022. Jim graduated college in 1969 from St. Benedict’s (now Kansas Benedictine) in Atchison, Kansas. He then served in the Marine Corps reserve unit. Jim started his career at Xerox in 1970 and then developed a successful printing career when he founded Unipro Graphics in 1993 which he ran successfully until his retirement in 2017. Jim brought fun and excitement wherever he went. He will be most remembered for his sense of humor and love for his family and friends. Jim was an avid Nascar, White Sox, Michigan State and Kansas fan. He also enjoyed spending time at the family summer home in South Haven, Michigan.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carole, four sons, Matthew (Lisa), James, Peter, Philip, four grandchildren, Teagan, Cooper, Carson and Vieva, brothers, Butch and Jerry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Eileen, sister, Linda.
Visitation Sunday, November 13th from 2-7pm at Lawn Funeral Home 17909 S. 94th Ave. Tinley Park, IL. Interment Private.
