Obituary for Richard H. Leighton
Richard H. Leighton, 94, of Orland Park, IL died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at his daughter’s residence in Dyersburg. Born in Chicago, IL, he is the son of the late Harold and Helen Skonig Leighton. He was an automobile mechanic. Richard had a zest for life and loved riding motorcycles, busting & most outdoor sports until he was in his 70’s.
Graveside services will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL
He is survived by three daughters, Marianne Ripper (John) of Indian Trail, NC, Pat Eudaley of Dyersburg, Janet Andorf (Gary) of Homer Glen, IL; one son, Rick Leighton (Carolyn) of Newbern; four grandchildren, Greg Eudaley (Katie), Jessica Bustamonte, Kyle Leighton, Lisa Leighton and three great-grandchildren, Barnes Eudaley, Mariana Bustamonte and John Bustamonte.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Irene M. Leighton
The family requests memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
