Robert Preston Vanderbilt, age 79, United States Army Veteran, of Beecher and Chicago and formerly of Roseland, devoted son and caretaker of the late Dr. Cornelius and Muriel Vanderbilt; loving brother of the late Dr. Paul (the late Arlene) Vanderbilt; cherished uncle of Kimberly (Douglas) Meier, Julie (Timothy) Edwards and Michelle (Raymond) Sullivan; proud great uncle of 8 nieces and nephews.
