Theodore was born October 19, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Adolph and Anna Buchler. Ted graduated from Calumet High school and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served our country in World War II. After discharge, he began a career in the telephone industry, retiring in 1981. After retirement, he traveled, played golf, created woodworking projects, collected John Wayne memorabilia, played and watched sports, and spent time with his family and friends. Ted was active in the Marist Fathers Club while sons attended Marist. At the end of the day, he could be found relaxing with a cigar and nice glass of scotch. Marilyn was born January 17, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Harold and Coleta Harvey. She graduated from Academy of Our Lady. She met and married Ted and dedicated her life to family. She loved to bowl, and had a friendly rivalry about Cubs and White Sox with Ted. She was a thoughtful and dear friend to all, and never missed sending a card for every birthday, anniversary, or holiday. Ted suffered a stroke on December 13, 2022 and his final journey began. Marilyn was told the news and she made plans to see him the next day. She died peacefully in her sleep that night. Then Ted died soon thereafter. This ended a wonderful love story that brought joy to all who knew them. Their family and friends are sad at their passing yet know they left everyone better during their time here. They are together again in heaven.
